PRICES

Please take a look through my price guide.
I carefully consider everything I'm asked to do before I price a cake. I am fully insured, registered with the city council and have a food hygiene certificate. I always give an honest price, and can tailor your ideas to fit a budget. This is a guide only, for either a sponge cake with buttercream and jam filling, fondant coating, presented on a covered board, or a fruit cake, marzipanned and iced. Any further decoration, modelling, figures etc will be made to order and priced accordingly.

I accept bank transfers. A £20 deposit secures a booking for celebration cakes.

ORDERING

It is helpful for celebration sponge cakes to be ordered at least 4 weeks in advance. However, if possible, I will try to fit in last minute orders, though this of course depends on the complexity of the cake required, as well as my pre-booked orders.

Fruit cakes ideally need to be booked at least 3 months in advance, to allow them to mature, and be fed with alcohol!

DELIVERY

 I am happy to deliver within a 2.5 mile radius of Plymouth city centre. Beyond that, delivery will be charged at 50p per mile (Cornwall Ferry / Bridge cost added). At the time of booking, an agreed delivery date, time and place will be confirmed (see terms and conditions for more details).

ALLERGIES

My kitchen is not a commercial kitchen. It is my family kitchen. It is not a nut free zone, nor a wheat free zone. However, I do have a daughter with Coeliacs, and regularly bake cakes for her which do not contain wheat. Whilst I am therefore not registered to make gluten free products,  for those of you who would like a cake made from gluten free flour, and made by someone who is careful to avoid contamination, I am happy to discuss your requirements.
